APIC and SHEA issued a joint statement opposing the executive order titled “Delivering Gold Standard Childhood Vaccine Recommendations for Americans.” The organizations stated that the order does not reflect current scientific evidence, bypasses established vaccine-review processes, and could reduce access to vaccination while increasing vaccine hesitancy.

This is a professional advocacy statement—not a new clinical guideline or binding requirement. However, changes to national vaccine recommendations or access could affect healthcare education, immunization counseling, outbreak preparedness, and protection against vaccine-preventable diseases.
